PRE WEDDING PHOTO SHOOT AT THE ICONIC TAJ MAHAL

I got an email from Kaycee (Kristina) enquiring about my availability for a pre wedding photoshoot at the Taj Mahal. The dates she was asking (Oct) was available and I was relieved i wasn’t booked on that date because i wanted to shoot at the iconic Taj.  It would be the first time for me to shoot there since i became a Wedding Photographer

Kaycee had also requested me for a make-up artist for her. I reached out to my good friend Tito. He was free on the dates and was just as excited as me to go there. A day before the shoot we flew from Bangalore to Agra (Via Delhi). Kaycee and her fiancé Nico were reaching on the same day. They were flying down all the way from Philippines. We all met for dinner at the ITC Mughal to discuss everything about the next day. We were all set to experience the magic of the Taj.

We started early the next day so we could start the shoot just before the sunrise. We also had someone from the hotel to help us with the entry tickets and our transport from the hotel.

The early morning sunrise at the The taj is an outstanding experience, absolutely breathtaking. My heart skipped a beat when my eyes feasted on magnificence and beauty of the Taj. No words can describe how beautiful and perfect the structure is. What a joy it was to be able to appreciate its beauty while you photograph it.

We spent a few hours just going around and exploring Taj from all possible directions. If you have not been to the Taj let me tell you its huge…its flanked on its sides by 2 beautiful structures and on the back there is the Yamuna river. After we had taken all the pictures that we could we headed for a quick lunch and a change of clothes for Kaycee & Nico.

Post lunch we headed to the Mehtab garden. This garden is a little secret that most people don’t know about. Its located behind the monument (right opposite) on the northern shores of the Yamuna River in. Its a centuries old garden complex.

After this we headed to the Agra Fort. We spent the remaining time till dusk shooting marvelling at the mughal architecture there.

Now every time i look back on the time spent with the beautiful couple at the backdrop of the enchanting and awe inspiring Taj, all i say is wah Taj, you beauty!

How to Get Best Pictures for Wedding

We have secured (In the past web journals) how you can get staggering pictures from your pre-wedding shoot and for the preparing part. Presently its opportunity to cover the genuine wedding service and gathering.

Here are a couple of pointers that will help your wedding picture taker in getting those wonderful real to life pictures for you

1) THE CEREMONY

Your service photos will without a doubt be probably the most significant shots of the day. It additionally flies by in an anxious haze and you’ll likely not recollect a ton about it, so these photographs are doubly significant.

Something else to consider is to graciously ask your visitors not take photographs during the service. Visitors holding up cell phones are just going to occupy for you and different visitors (and may even destroy the expert shots).

Another thing to consider is to politely ask your guests not take photos during the ceremony. Guests holding up mobile phones are only going to be distracting for you and other guests (and may even ruin the professional shots).

2) IGNORE THE PHOTOGRAPHER

I realize this appears to be outlandish yet on the off chance that you can overlook the camera (except if the picture taker asks you to) and simply trust your wedding picture taker, you show up as a brilliant, sure lady of the hour in your wedding photographs. Simply unwind and take the path of least resistance.

3) FEEL BEAUTIFUL!

Subsequent to shooting several wedding days I can say there is one shared characteristic between every one of them; each lady of the hour is BEAUTIFUL! It is inconceivable to see the change that happens when a lady of the hour slips into her wedding dress. Certainty emanates from her, and each wedding picture taker wants to catch these dazzling pictures. Have confidence in yourself, cherish yourself and those stunning wedding photographs will come effectively..

4) ENJOY AND FEEL THE EMOTIONS.

I mean really appreciate! In the event that you need to giggle do it really, all things considered, this would one say one is of the most joyful days of your life, isn’t that so? On the off chance that you are effectively having a decent time, every other person will as well, which will make for incredible photographs. This is your enormous day, appreciate it and let yourself have a ton of fun, and promised you will get the most astounding wedding photographs in doing as such. Additionally on the off chance that you want to absorb a feeling do it, don’t consider others. Its your huge day, your story, live it without limit and feel it to the very center.

5) MIND YOUR POSTURE

Great stance is significant and without it, garments don’t look great. At the point when fashioners start making garments, they work with a sham and obviously their stance is impeccable, so garments are made to be worn with extraordinary stance.

In the event that you have terrible stance it makes you look old. A decent stance makes you look more youthful and progressively sure. Terrible stance ruins such huge numbers of wedding photos and it’s probably the least demanding thing to fix. Work on standing up straight by holding a floor brush handle between your shoulder bones and pulling in your center muscles. Stomach in, chest out works.

Standing feet by feet separated doesn’t look so pleasant. The most ideal approach to change this is to remain at an edge. On the off chance that you remain with the two feet next to each other and your arms are adhered to your side, you will wind up resembling a mannequin and this unquestionably is definitely not a decent look!

In this way, remain at a three-quarter point and put the impact point of your front foot in the curve of the back foot. This will make a T shape and this will give the body shape and development. It will likewise enable you to move simpler in light of the fact that you can turn on your feet as opposed to being planted on the ground.

6) GROUP SHOTS

I realize this can be somewhat precarious in India. Every one of the visitors need to present with the lady and man of the hour and it would be rude not to oblige, so as opposed to closing them off, you can rapidly complete it yet for the nearby family and companions, its great to have them done appropriately towards the end. The wedding picture taker should help you getting these sorted out so that the photographs look adjusted, balanced and proficient.

7) HAVE GUEST ACTIVITIES DURING THE RECEPTION

Having movement choices for your visitors gives your picture taker alternatives for catching your visitors openly. In addition, it’s an extraordinary icebreaker for awkward visitors.

This could be to serve a couple themed mixed drinks a few games to keep everybody included. A campfire late-night action likewise makes for incredible photograph openings.

HOW TO POSE FOR YOUR WEDDING & PRE-WEDDING PICTURES

On your big day you will put your best self forward and your magnificence will be effectively caught in the photos, isn’t that so? The appropriate response is yes and no. Allow me to clarify. I’m certain a large portion of you will concur with me in any event to a limited degree, that there are sure zones of your body you’re not all that content with. Regardless of how regularly your companions says you look perfect. Just you realize that the photographs of your arms/nose/jawline/stomach and so on are not how you might want them. correct? Let’s face it with ourselves here and state that we are each of the a tad stressed over how we’re going to look in our wedding photos.

Imagine a scenario where I let you know there is an approach to you can really address every one of your worries and get those dazzling photos of your wedding that you had constantly envisioned about.

How you would inquire

Indeed, did you realize that a great deal of those lovely pre-wedding photoshoot pictures that you see on the web are really presented? I know, presenting is the keep going thing at the forefront of your thoughts. The point of this post isn’t to persuade you to model for all the photographs however a couple of them where is it required. The remainder of the wedding you wont need to stress over in light of the fact that your wedding picture taker will get those real minutes caught for endlessness.

The reason for this blog is to instruct you about the specialty of presenting. You should know this since you are the best judge of your body. You know precisely what are the qualities and shortcomings of your body regions, you comprehend what outfits look great on you, you realize what sort of pictures look complimenting and so on and so forth. The purpose of this post isn’t to make you cognizant or loathe the pieces of yourself you don’t care for, yet to commend the parts you do like and to figure out what to look like the absolute best you can.

With this recently discovered aptitude you will overwhelm your picture taker. Besides with this learning you can continue getting those shocking pictures a lot after your wedding is finished.

All in all, would you say you are intrigued?

Here is the means by which we can manage the normal issue territories

1) Double Chin/Neck

Raise your jaw by a couple of degrees and contort your head somewhat away from the camera. At that point, either center your eyes at a point over your characteristic eye line or think down the focal point. Tilting your jawline upwards will stretch the neck, pull the skin tight and smooth out any wrinkles/folds.

The most complimenting plot for concealing a twofold jawline region is from above. Presently you see why the selfies that you take from over the head end up great. The high point conceals any abundance skin as well as causes the eyes to seem to pop and look greater/more splendid. The face additionally looks milder.

2) Nose

Do you despise your straight up photographs as a result of your nose. Take a stab at bending your face to 45 degrees. Attempt likewise tilting your jawline marginally down this will be additionally complimenting to a greater nose.

3) Arms

Essentially ward off them from your body and don’t incline toward them on the off chance that you have enormous arms ( just for the women) Keep your hands on hips however simply keep them somewhat away from your body . Keep your shoulders loose. On the off chance that you have huge adjusted shoulders, at that point maintain a strategic distance from strapless dresses.

4) Stomach/Waist

Wind your body 45 degrees (a great picture taker ought to have the option to reveal to you the careful point where your midriff looks it littlest) and put every leg in a somewhat unique position (once more, your photographic artist ought to have the option to guide you toward which positions look great). Put all your weight on one leg (as a rule the back).

Have you at any point seen how big names present for the magazines… they all know this secret…now you know it as well:)

5) Smile (teeth)

On the off chance that you are not content with your teeth or your grin don’t close your mouth and grin. A smart thought is to think upbeat musings. It sounds so evident and threadbare however sincerely on the off chance that you are thinking and feeling better and certain it truly will come through in your demeanor. Think about – a constrained and apathetic eyes and grin versus a characteristic and sure articulation. See the distinction?

6) Hands

Think free, think loose, think delicate.

A decent tip is make a clench hand and open them. A slight bend of the fingers consistently looks better, and more common than straight and pointy hands. On the off chance that you feel yourself worrying. Loosen up your arms, shoulders and hands and move them where it feels characteristic

7) Posture/Shoulders

At long last, and in particular – invest in the posture you’re being placed in. A ton of the time an over misrepresented posture can feel ludicrous, ‘all things considered’ however looks extraordinary in photographs. This is the reason it’s so imperative to book a picture taker that you 100% trust.

Make sure to practice! You will feel ungainly first however it’s justified, despite all the trouble. Remain before a full length reflect and truly simply get presenting! You can even incorporate your accomplice in this. Check out Rajesh Pandey’s blog on Pre-wedding photoshoot at the Taj.

The most effective method to GET STUNNING makeup SHOTS FOR YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS

If you thought the excellent preparing wedding pictures happen independently from anyone else because the lady of the hour was pretty or the wedding picture taker was overly skilled at that point reconsider. It’s not the situation. It requires cautious wanting to get those photos. While suddenness is required for catching the crude feelings of the day, here are seven things you can do before your wedding picture taker goes to the shoot

  • Area

Pick an extensive area, loaded with light and in particular, it compliments your taste.

Don’t simply get into something in the rush. The better you plan the better outcomes you will get. After all, the spot you prepare is the spot that you will spend a noteworthy segment of your day getting spoiled. This zone ought to be a unique spot and ought to have bunches of a room that makes everybody feel loose. Have a go at booking a corner room that has enough light coming in. It’s a smart thought to likewise this with your picture taker much ahead so they recognize what sort of lights they would need to acquire.

  • Keep in mind: LESS IS MORE.

Try not to attempt to pack up the life with numerous individuals. This will wind up turbulent very soon. The exact opposite thing a lady of the hour would need is getting strained before the wedding.

  • KEEP THE ROOM CLEAN.

Numerous multiple times there are simply such a large number of things all tossed over in the bed/room/table. Additional garments, water bottles, paper and so forth. This can move toward becoming diverting for the photos. You additionally don’t need the photographic artists to invest energy cleaning this as they could be utilizing the time taking pictures. So simply expel or junk the things that you don’t need. Keep the spot clean and it will turn out well in the photos.

  • GET ALL YOUR DETAILS YOU’D LIKE PHOTOGRAPHED TOGETHER AND IN ONE SPOT.

Spare your picture taker the time and vitality by having every one of your subtleties together in one spot. The dress, the adornments, the shoes and if you any letters, the rings, the welcome card. Along these lines, your picture taker will put the time in getting the shots without burning through their time chasing them down. Here and there these will get passed up a major opportunity totally so it’s better to prepare and get them every one of the one spots.

BOOK A MAKEUP ARTIST

You need to put your best self forward on your big day and an expert make up craftsman will enable you to do that. Also while you complete the make up your picture taker will get some decent innovative shots.

Ensure you have powder and lipstick in your sack (or offer it to a bridesmaid) for little touch-ups for the day as well. Digitally embellishing during photograph altering can just accomplish such a great deal (and your picture taker won’t probably photoshop every one of the pictures since it requires some investment and would need to get a photograph retoucher to do it)

  • Have a great time and SAVOR THE MOMENTS.

The preparing shots are the same amount of about the subtleties as they are the open minutes, notes Remember. “Unwind, live it up, let us do our thing and attempt to imagine we aren’t there. Feel the feelings existing apart from everything else and trust that if we need something from you, we’ll inquire.”

Pre-Wedding Photoshoots

An Introduction to Pre-wedding Photoshoots

A pre-wedding shoot is in rage these days, It’s a photo shoot that usually happens before the wedding but it could also happen immediately after the wedding. Typically, its done 1-6 months before the wedding, which is a good time to do it with proper planning and peace of mind, timing it with the engagement is also a good idea. Now, not everyone does a pre-wedding shoot and some would even find it quite mushy and pricey, which gets me to the next question, do we really need a pre wedding shoot? Is it practical? does it have anysignificance at all? Being a wedding photographer, I’m bound to be biased towards the advantages of it, but let’s look at it in a more neutral sort of way. Personally, I never had a pre wedding shoot and that is a regret for me till this date. Just like there is a time for a honeymoon, there is a time for a pre wedding shoot, if you miss doing it at the right time, you will unlikely do it in the future.

Ok, so let’s see some of the positives and negatives of a shoot like this

Positives of a pre-wedding shoot

  1. You can expect some amazing images from the shoot that you will cherish for life.
  2. You will have a visual anchor to celebrate your love and romance.
  3. These photos will become the legacy of your love and relationship.
  4. This would perhaps be the only time when you will have the time to plan and execute it in a way you want it to be.
  5. These photos will be one of the best investments as they grow in value each year.
  6. It will always show your partner that you cared
  7. You would be looking your best during the shoot, something that can always inspire you to be fit and healthy
  8. There are no limits to where you can go and what you can do for this shoot.
  9. Your personality will shine in the pictures
  10. You will get a crash course (hopefully) from your photographer on how to pose, which will be hugely beneficial for youas you get into the wedding day.
  11. You can build a good rapport with the photographer which will help getting some amazing shots.

Negatives of a pre-wedding shoot

  1. It can seem expensive (the real value of it will show after a few years so look at it more like an investment)
  2. It takes time to plan and execute the shoot (with a good photography team this can come down)
  3. It’s can make you look silly, if you aren’t careful in choosing a good photographer who gels with you taste
  4. It can be tiring running around all day

Now that we know the positives and negatives let’s see what makes a great pre-wedding photo?

There are so many things that can help to make great pre wedding pictures.

There are two things that I feel are very important.

  1. Does the picture add to theirstory?
  2. Are the emotions captured?

The reason for these 2 points to stand out is because the pictures have to say something; who they are as individuals and as a couple, what they love, what they don’t and where they’re going as a couple. If the two are outdoorsy people, then it would be great to have a shoot amidst the nature, maybe a mountainous backdrop or something similar. Also, it is the captured emotions that bring alive the moments and the x factor to the pictures.

So now that we see what makes a great pre-wedding shoot, let’s see how to go about making it

First, let’s gothrough some of the most popular styles.

The cultural styled shoot

The cultural shoot is when the focusis on the cultural background of the couples. It is agood idea for those planning to have their weddings as per local customs and traditions. South East Asian weddings have abig advantage here because of their huge cultural diversity. The images from the wedding standout for their colourand vibrancy.

If you wish to go for this style, pick a location that shows the antique vibes of the culture like an old temple. For the outfit, stick something traditional which is simple yet classy and easy for you to carry around without feeling stifled and uncomfortable. Save yourgrand look for the wedding day. Ask your photographer for more colourful pictures that can bring out a more authentic feel.

The oh so glamorous shoot

Choosing a glamorous style doesn’t mean it’s time for fancy dresses and grand locations; it’s all about showing as much class as possible through the pictures. Couples that go for this kind of photo shoot are most probably the ones that enjoy elegance and sophistication above all else.

Wardrobe-wise, find gorgeous dresses that will create a statement in the pictures; either in classic black-and-white or in daring colors, the choice is yours. For the location, it would be great if you can have a shoot at an iconic landmark or somewhere with a very beautiful landscape. Showcase your stunning location and your dress for the ultimate glamorous feel.

The as casual as you are shoot

This is in stark contrast to the casual concept. Unlike the glamorous that flaunts fancy dresses and locations, the casual brings out the real you. If you’re the type of couple that doesn’t like to pose in front of the camera, this will be the perfect option. You can wear a simple dress with your man in jeans/trousers/shorts and t-shirt/shirt.Just be natural and effortless and let the magic happen. However, you need to be very careful in choosing your photographer as not all photographers are experienced in taking candid pictures.

Let the themes rule shoot

A thematic pre-wedding shoot is a shoot which has a specific theme that you and your partner have decided. You can choose a theme that evokes an ambience like bohemian or , or even something more specific, like the vintage or a theme based on travel. For the location and wardrobe, cleverly adjust everything to go with the theme you’ve chosen.

Some Dos and Don’ts of Pre-Wedding Photography

As simple and easy as they may seem, pre-wedding shoots are not that straightforward. There are a few things that you need to have in mind before the shoot even takes place. Study these dos and don’ts to help you have lifetime of beautiful moments captured.

Do: Research like a pro

Yes, doing some good old research is one of the most important first steps. Don’t assume anything. What should you research? Answer is anything that you can think about related to the shoot – like permissions at the location, weather, clothes, accessories, access to changing rooms, about the locals, about the concept/theme that you have planned for and anything that comes to your mind. Check all the boxes and leave nothing to chance.

Don’t: look someone else

Don’t let the rush to look good drive you to make impulsive decisions about your hairstyle, hair colour, or facial hair grooming. In your pictures, of course you want to look like no one else but you. These extreme decisions will make you look not quite like yourself in the pictures and you surely wouldn’t want that.

Do: plan carefully

It is very important to plan your shoot. Some couples want to just go with the flow and do what is trending. Well, nothing wrong with that except you will later on not relate with it, sometimes you may even cringe at looking at your pictures if it does not reflect who you are a person.

Do: pick a suitable time for the shoot

Talking about time, there are two things you need to consider.

First, the shoot itself has to be done at the right time of the day (if it’s to be done outdoors). A shoot carried out hurriedly in the afternoon sun will leave unwanted shadows and have you all sweaty and uncomfortable. So pick a nice time preferably early morning or just before sunset to take advantage of some beautiful light which will leave an amazing glow on you

Second, do not plan it too close to or too far off from the wedding day. You don’t want to feeling stressed or rushed for the shoot. You want to savour it and make it a part of your memory than to do it only for memory sakes. Also, the pictures will need time to be edited and if done in advance you can even show them as a special slideshow at your reception to all your guests.

So that sums up all that you need to know about having a pre-wedding shoot for yourself that you can cherish for a life-time.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
